This defines the maximum distance between the outer edges of plates loaded
on the drum, in the case where two plates are loaded at the same time.
This range is centered on the drum.
Normally, when plates are loaded, they are centered on the pins. However,
if doing so results in either the home or away edge of the plate to
be further than half of this parameter from the drum midpoint, then the
plate will shifted accordingly.
Note that if a device is configured correctly, the midpoints of pins
1,3 and 4,6 should be equidistant from the drum midpoint.
The amount of shifting performed will be limited such that the gap between
the plates will be at least equal to the SscanGapMin parameter. Furthermore,
the plates must still sit on the required registration pins and not fall
off the edge of the drum.
